It’s simple: A healthy Ocean is essential for all life on Earth.  

 

So, we support young people, like you, to get educated and empowered to take action to protect Earth’s most important ecosystem. 

 

How? We translate complex Ocean Science into engaging content and practical tools and run skills development workshops and incubate innovation for 16 – 25-year-olds.

    Join us for our monthly Wavemaker Current Conversations, where we’ll dive into fresh Ocean-related topics and connect over meaningful discussions. Each month, we’ll choose a new article, podcast, or video to explore, and then meet virtually for an open conversation to share our thoughts, questions, and ideas (just like a virtual book club!). This is a chance to meet other Wavemakers, reflect on what matters most, and work together to drive positive change.

     

    This month’s host is Abigail, who chose the topic of biomimicry after being amazed by how the Ocean’s designs — from whales to coral reefs — are shaping the future of engineering and art. Inspired by nature’s creativity and resilience, Abby wants to explore how looking to the sea can help us build a more sustainable, awe-inspiring world.
