Bringing the Ocean to everyone, everywhere.

By 2030, we aim to engage 50 million people in Ocean education and action.
This is how we’re measuring up.

why we do what we do

The Ocean is keeping us all alive. Its health is essential for our survival.

For a healthy planet, we need a healthy Ocean.

We need millions of people understanding the importance of the Ocean and the role we all have in ensuring its health.

That’s why we aim to bring the Ocean to everyone, everywhere.

We translate complex Ocean science into engaging content, use film and popular culture stories to nurture an inclusive approach to sustainability, and run three UNESCO-endorsed youth engagement programmes for 3 – 25-year-olds.

We’ve been experts on Ocean threats since 2009.

But below is our impact since 2021, the beginning of the UN’s Ocean Decade.

We track how we introduce people to the Ocean and its wonders, but specifically measure how we educate them and empower Ocean action and behaviour change.
