World Ocean Festival

Did you spot our Vaquita Porpoises at the World Ocean Festival?

On June 4th, Ocean Generation attended the first World Ocean Festival on Governors Island in New York. We were out in force promoting our first mobile game ‘The Big Catch’ along with the games main character, a Vaquita Porpoise.

Hundreds of participants gathered throughout the day to participate in the many attractions including a boat parade along the harbour and a #StopSucking photo booth by Lonely Whale raising awareness about plastic straws. Talks and workshops were held throughout the day by Ocean Unite, legendary queen of the oceans Sylvia Earle and President of the UN General Assembly, Peter Thompson.
