Recorded and produced in a single day at the legendary House of Blues studios, Nashville TN. The full day featured over 21 of the biggest and best Vans Warped Tour bands brought together by the Ocean Generation. The Oceans single aims to encourage an audience to think and connect with the oceans. We want every listener to think about how their lives affect our oceans and simple everyday changes they can make. We all need to this for people and planet to safeguard for future generations.

Simple changes that listeners can start today:

  • Reduce single use plastics like straws, coffee cups, bottles
  • Reduce their carbon footprint by for example reducing their red meat consumption
  • Tackle littering to stop household waste ending up inside fish
  • Properly disposing and recycling their household waste
  • Buy plastic free surf and skate boards

The single, originally recorded and released by Multi-Grammy award winning UK soul artist Joss Stone, is apart of a global campaign titled #MyOceans, involving global influencers and receiving support from across the music industry. The song has also led to various spin-off events like a documentary video and Ocean Generation activists on the ground with the Vans Warped Tour.

Vans Warped Tour founders Kevin Lyman and Steve Van Doren avid eco supporters pledged that the tour would be the greenest and most eco effective tour possible, and has been for 23 Years. A video performance of the recording will be released on the (Vans Warped Tour) YouTube channel.
